alas, the frolicking draws to a close! I’m really happy with how the art of these two is turning out, as someone who’s not very experienced with drawing dogs and is trying to sketch quickly. so far I’m a day behind where I was hoping to be (as you can tell from my pre-written sharpie dates on the pages), but I’ve also posted three days in a row!!
in addition to remembering Ollie’s watch, I also tweaked Pepper’s design here to make her look a bit more pitbull-y, for reasons that’re a (very minor) spoiler! soon we’ll get to the relevant bit and I’ll do my best to remember to yap about it ^u^

Ollie and Pepper chase each other around a field, with Pepper barking and Ollie laughing. after a minute, a watch on Ollie’s wrist (front ankle?) starts beeping, and Ollie lifts it up to look at the time.
Ollie: aw, dang. . .
Ollie stops playing and looks back at Pepper, who now has Ollie’s tail held captive in her mouth and is wagging her own tail happily.
Ollie: I’m sorry, Pepper; it’s time for us to start heading back.
Pepper: arfth?
