Sania’s mother hurries in, grabs Sania’s arm and rests a hand on Kristie’s shoulder, and begins pulling the two kids away. unlike the distinctly anthropomorphic kids, Sania’s mom appears to be a human just like any other human in real life, with no paws, snout, etc to speak of. she stands several feet taller than Ollie, Pepper, and the young kids, who are all roughly the same height. she has black hair held up in a bun, medium-brown skin, and is wearing a long pink dress.
Sania’s mom: I’m so sorry; she’s never seen a multipedal person before.
Ollie: oh, it’s okay! it’s not the first time I’ve–
Sania’s mom, speaking over Ollie: c’mon kids, let’s let these nice people get on with their day
Sania: awwwww…
Kristie, waving to Ollie and Pepper: byeeee!!
Ollie: bye!! thanks for talking with us!
Ollie and Pepper watch for a long moment as the trio departs, both with neutral, slightly-stunned expressions, though Pepper’s ears are now held flat against her head.
after a beat, Ollie turns to Pepper with a smile and breaks the silence by declaring, “well that was adorable.” Pepper doesn’t look impressed.

yay new page! my intention here was that Sania’s mom was lunging forward to grab the kids and therefore closer to the ground than usual, but I think she’s still smaller comparatively than I was going for — I’ll want to practice more with the proportions! in my head, Ollie and Pepper come up to roughly mid-thigh on a five-foot-something bipedal human. they’re both used to most people they interact with seeming Very Very Tall, like in this page from the original AwS comic: https://applesaucewithsprinklescomic.com/comic-19/
