this is very true of my comic-writing as well! most of my comics so far aren’t directly autobiographical (as I want to play it safe with the privacy of myself and the people in my life), but my comics do include plenty of real-life inspiration sprinkled in amongst the imagination (‘cuz real life is rad and processing irl things via comics can be super helpful!)
